How do I register for the course and start accessing course materials?
Create an account via the navigation bar at the top of the page. Log in. When you come back to the ColMech course description page, you'll be able to see the REGISTER button. This opens the checkout pop-up. If you have a discount code, you'll be able to use it in the checkout.
When you have completed payment, you'll receive a Welcome email with further instructions on how to access course materials.
I am unavailable at times over the next three months. Is this a problem?
This course is self-paced. This means that you can complete it in your own time, at your own pace. The amount of time you set aside for the course is entirely up to you.
You will continue to have access to course materials for at least two years after registering for the course. This ensures you'll have ample opportunity to make space in your calendar for Mechanisms of Ongoing Colonisation.

Can I use ColMech as a guide in
creating content or processes?
Yes! ColMech is inquiry-based for this very purpose. You retain ownership and use of the content you generate by going through the course. You are welcome to approach ColMech with any specific context for the purpose of creating content or processes within that arena. Please credit us appropriately, e.g. "created with Mechanisms of Ongoing Colonisation, POSSIBLE FUTURES, [year participated].
Can the ColMech Crew help with our design strategy or process design?
It all depends on the political context of the team or organisation. We don't work with those who intentionally seek to continue to profit from coloniality's harms. We only work with those who are committed to actual decolonisation.
If you think you're as ready as you'll ever be, we look forward to reviewing your proposal to work together. Learn more about follow-up services we offer here [page up soon].

Can I network/connect/study with other ColMech participants?
Can I post about my experience with ColMech publicly on social media?
Yes, you are very welcome to, as long as our terms and conditions are respected. You are free to download and use ColMech social media visuals from this folder [page up soon].
This is a tricky one, since everyone is likely to start the course at different times and pace themselves differently. This course is not designed for co-learning, hence registrants are not vetted and there are no facilitated live sessions. Not every one may consent to being contacted by other participants. If you would like to co-learn with others, you are welcome to form your own study group and hold sessions on your own.
